Frank Mir out of Strikeforce fight with Daniel Cormier

UFC heavyweight Frank Mir has reportedly been forced to withdraw from his bout with Strikeforce heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier due to injury.

Mir had been set to move over to Strikeforce for a one off fight with heavyweight Grand Prix winner Daniel Cormier who is then expected to make the transition over to the UFC. The event which is due to take place on November 3rd at the Chesapeake Energy Center in Oklahoma City will also feature Luke Rockhold vs. Lorenz Larkin, Bobby Green vs. Jorge Masvidal and Liz Carmouche vs Sara. McMann.

MMAJunkie.com broke the news late last night after confirming the information with "a source close to the promotion". As yet no replacement has been announced.
